The Real Cost of Education

Circa 10 to 12 years ago, there were no such jobs as a Social Media Manager, App Developer or Cloud Computing Specialist. People were just getting to grips with Facebook and Twitter while the workplace felt that this was taboo and blocked employees accessing these sights. Children who started pre-primary and primary schools in the mid to late 2000’s never would have imagined these jobs will be in demand years later and this trend looks set to continue in our ever-changing environment. With new job titles comes a new skill that must be learnt; schools and universities need to constantly change their curriculum to remain relevant and specific. All of these changes come with its own challenges and one of the main challenges is the cost of these new courses, modules or subjects.
